AMERICAN OIL LEASES. (BT CABLS —FBESS ASSOCIATION OOPYBIOHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received March 4th, 9.50 p.m.) WASHINGTON, March 3. Spurred by the Senate's impatience, the Government prosecutors, Messrs Pomerene and Owen, have announced the filing of Equity suits to cancel the leases of the naval oil reserves.
The legal steps include also criminal actions alleging conspiracy and bribery against Mr Fall and others who participated in diverting public lands to private exploitation.
