WEDDINGS.

COM YNS—MARSH ALL. The wedding was solemnised recently at St. David's Church, Belfast, of Miss Mary Comyns, eldest daughter of Mr F. Comyns, Belfast, and Mr J. Marshall, eldest son of Mr R, Marshall, Milton. The church was prettily decorated by friends of the bride and the Rev. Roberts, of Hororata, officiated. Mr T. Miller presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty frock of ivory marocain finished with panels of radium lace and prettily beaded with pearls. Her hand-embroidered veil was held in place with a wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of roses and sweet peas. Miss Vera Marshall and Miss Edith Comyns, sisters of the brid-> and bridegroom, acted as bridesmaids, the former wearing saxe blue radium silk, daintily beaded in gold with black hat and trimmings to match her frock, and the latter cameo pink- with black hat. Both carried pretty shower bouquets to tone with their frocks. Miss Eileen Comyns acted as flower girl and wore a dainty frock "of pink art silk finished with rosebud trimmings and she carired a basket of pink sweet peas. Mr S. Harris acted as best man and Mr H. Abercrombie as groomsman. A reception was afterwards held in the Town Hall, the tables being decorated with pink and mauve asters. Mr? Comyns received her guests wearinr a smart navy silk frock beaded with silver and navy and lemon hat. Her nosv was of lemon coloured roses. The bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon, the bride wearing a smart grey braided costume and fawn hat.

JOY—BARKER. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Bartholomew's Church on February 20th, when Gertrude Edith Barker, only daughter of Mr and Mrs E. J. Barker, Okair, Kaiapoi, was married to Harry Cornwall Joy, third son of Mr and Mrs W. Joy, Kaiapoi. The Rev. L. A. Knight officiated, and Mr Charles Brocklebank presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in white marocain, beaded, and trimmed with a deep berthe of Honiton lace, a family heirloom. The veil was tulle, handsomely embroidered, and falling from a Russian coronet, also of Honiton lace. She carried a shower uouquet of pink and white. She was attended by Miss Rhena Bramley, who wore a frock oi' leaf green marocain trimmed with silver leaves. Her hat was silver lace and green marocain, and she wore shoes and stockings to match, and carried a posy of pink asters. The two flower girls were Joan and Barbara Carter, who looked very dainty in frocks of white embroidered voile, and bandeaux of white tulle and mauve and pink asters, from which hung tulle streamers. They carried mauve and pink posies. The bridegroom was attended by Mr J. E. Barker as best man.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents, when over a hundred guests sat down to the wedding breakfast. The usual toasts were honoured, and afterwards the happy couple left by motor for the South. The bride's travelling costume was a three-piece suit of cream serge, with which she wore a black hat lined with kingfisher blue. Mrs E. Barker, mother of the bride, wore a beautiful dress of nigger brown marocain satin worked in beads. She wore a hat to match and carried a bunch of delicate coloured flowers. Mrs J. Joy. mother of the bridegroom, looked very_ smart in a navy blue serge costume'beautifully braided and a hat to match.
