Irish troops motoring between Kiltimagh and Qlaremorris, in County Mayo were ambushed. Nicholas, assistant paymaster was killed. REPUBLICAN ENVOYS. (BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) SYDNEY. April 27. The Hon. 0. W. Oakes, Colonial Secretary, has issued a warning that the Government possesses power to prevent the collection of funds for the Irish Envoys, and. says that he intends taking steps immediately to stop the campaign. HUNGER-STRIKERS FREED.

Annie O'Neill and Nellie Ryan have been liberated from Ki.'mainham gaol, where they have been hunger striking for some time. The doctors advised that they were in grave danger of dying. The Dail Eireann on May 2nd will debate a motion declaring that anyone hunger-striking thereafter, must take the full consequences.
