GREAT FIRE IN ASTORIA.

A conflagration in Astoria, Oregon, at 3 o'clock in the morning destroyed 200 business buildings. The loss will probably be from 10,000,000. to 16,000000 dollars. One life was lost. , ' Firemen checked the fire by dynamiting adjoining buildings. A later message says the fire, is still uncontrollabfe after eight hours. [Astoria is an important commercial centre and seaport at the mouth of the Columbia River. Its population is about 12,000.]
