An event unique in the-history of the Roman Catholic Church in New Zealand was celebrated at St. Joseph's Cathedral vesterday, when two priests were for-* inally consecrated to the hierachy. These wero Dr. Whyte, as Bishop of Iftinedin, and Dr. Liston, as CoadjutorBishop of Auckland. There was a brilliant array of church dignitaries, and fcfie Cathedral was thronged.
