RETURN OF N.Z. MOTOR-IfoAT PATROLMENf. (MESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAH.) AUCKLAND, May 6. The steamer Makura, which arrived from Vancouvor to-day, brought back twenty-four lieutenants, all R.N. or R.N.V.U. men. They were all participants in the naval operations about tiio North Soa, taking part in submarine chasing and general patrol work, while most of them had a hand • in tho bombardments of the Belgian comt. Great tales arc told of tho deeds of the tliirty-oight chiof petty officers who are part of the force of motor-boat patrolmen to come back. Thoy are all in Auckland now, and everyone of them has seen sorvice bombing the Belgian const, working against mines,' and in mystery ships, and chasing submarines.
