BILLIARDS. A billiard tournament, consisting of ft series of games of 75 up, was commenced at the Club Hall on Monday evening among the membei'3 of the Lyttelton Club. The tournament- will occupy t.hrec weeks, and when terminated the handicaps, at present sealed, will be announced. Trophies will be presented by Mr E. H. Henderson and tho Club. THE PICTURES. Viola Dana plays the title role in tho Metro film, "Lady Barnacle/' prtsentod at yesterday's sessions in the Harbour Light Picture Theatre. This picture, supported by other interesting; films, will bo repeated this evening. At to-morrow's sessions the first picture produced by tho Douglas Fairbanks Company, entitled "In Again, Out Again," in which this inimitable film artist is seen at Lis beat, will be screened. DEMAND FOR SHIPPING SPACE. In order to relieve the present congestion of grain and produce at Lyttelton. all available shipping space is being utilised to carry grain to northern ports. . The Mouowai will tjike 600 tons of grain to-day on her trip North, and the Kamona tails to-morrow with a largo quantity of chaff for Napier.
