CASUALTIES.

An accident of a rather serious nature, occurred at Rangiora, on Saturday night. Miss G. Cook employed by Mi ssrs Parrot, Holcroft ana Co., ft'hen cycling homo between 6 and 7 p.m., was run into by a motor-car ariven by Mr F. Johns, of Fernside. Sho was caught up and thrown against the windscreen of the car, and was carried about 20 yards before being thrown on to tho road. The bicyclo was smashed, and Miss Cook severely cut by tho broken glass of tho windscreen, and very badly bruised. She was conveved home by Mr Miles, who . wa® motoring past tlio scene of the | accident, and attended by Dr. Will. * (press association telegram.) DUN'EDIN. June 3. A boy, named Frederick John Thomas Collingwood, aged 14J years, fell in front of a tramear on Saturday morning, being seriously injured.
