DRIVING OF STOCK.
RICCARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL'S NEW BY-LAWS. The Riccarton Borough Council last night passed the following by-laws lelating to the driving of stock ill tho borough:— 45. No person shall, between the Jiours of 9.15 a.m. and 4 p.m. of the same day, drive loose any small cattlo on, along, or across any street in tho borough. 46. No person shall, between tho hours of 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. of the same day on any day between and including the first day of October and the first day of April following, drive loose any large cattlo other than cows in milk on, along, or across any street in the borough. 47 No person shall, between tho hours of 8.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. of the same day on any • day between and including the second day of April and thirtieth day of September following, drive loose any large cattle other than cows in milk on, along, or across any street in the borough. 49. No person shall drive loose any small cattlo in a mob, flock, or herd, exceeding 600 in number, along cr across any street in tho borough.
