SHIPPING INCONVENIENCED AT LYTTELTON.

Yesterday afternoon a thick fog enveloped Lyttelton Harbour, and was so dense that at times it was-impossible to aco Diamond Harbour and the sarrounding hills. Vessels entering and leaving the inner harbour, were forced to sonnd their _ir_ns at short intervals, and had to proceed with, caution. Outside Godley and Adderly Heads the weather was, if possible,, thicker, it beintg impossible to see ahead, except for-a very short distanco.
