DURFIELD.
(Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) For failing to attend drill, James Mayo was fined 40s and costs, and M. C H.vde 20s and costs. Cases against D. Pearce, J. T. Payn, S. Worsfold, and D. T. Cropp were withdrawn, tho men stating that they had attended. W. Lenuning was convicted, and ordered to pay costs, for allowing cattle to trespass on the railway near Coalgate. , Robert Morgan and James, Arthur were each fined 40s and costs for drunkenness in a railway carriage at Coalgate. ■ On a charge of false pretences, arising out of a civil action,- Harold James was committed to the Supreme Court for trial, bail being allowed, self in £75 and ono surety of £75.
Judgment was given for plaintiff in the "following cases:—Malvern County Council v. D. McLeod (Aylesbury), claim £4 9s 9d; A. M. Welsh v. Gordon Johnstone (Sydenham), claim £3. In the case, A. M. Welsh v. George Glover (Darfield), claim £14 19s lid, defendant was ordered to pay at the rate of £1 a fortnight, in default 14 days' imprisonment. In Hunter and Phillips v. R. E. Stanley (Amberley), claim £6 2s 2d, judgment was given for plaintiff, in default seven days imprisonment. In D. F. Clinton v. H. Jobliu (Darfield), defendant was ordered to Day £190 arrears of rent, and to. give un possess'ou of premises on or boforo "June 12th*' -
