MEADOWBANK ESTATE.
There was a good attendance at Mr Charles Clark's rooms yesterday, when portions of Mr G. E. Rhodes's Meadowbank Estate were submitted by auction. Bidding was fairly brisk, but did not reach the reserve. Lot 3, containing 116 acres, started at £30 per acre, and reached £44 per acre, when it was withdrawn. Lot 2, 171 acres, started at £20, and reached £34, when it was withdrawn.
