William Henry Baines, Hulsean Professor of Divinity, Cambridge, accuses the Upoer riouse of the Canterbury Convocation of paltering with tho truth in restraining the damnatory clause's of the Athanasiaa Creed, and protests against the House ordering the recitation of the revised translation once a year. This be regards as opportunism which does not dare to face the fact tbat the damnatory clauses contain a direct untruth. BERLIN. March 4. Cardinal Kopp is dead.
