• • OFFICERS FORCED TO FIGHT. A HUNGARIAN SCANDAL. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received February 23rd, 11.55 p.m.) BUDAPEST, February 23. Lieutenant Hadju and Sigmund Baboscay, an officer in the reserve and Hadjti's brothor-in-law, wore compelled to fight a duel under Army regulations, despite Baboscay's offer to apologise for a slight insult and Hadju's willingness to accept the apology. Both pistols at the outset missed fire. Baboscay then tried to spare Hadju. He turned his head as ho fired without aiming, but killed Hadju.
