The Parliamentary correspondent of the "Daily News" declares that the House of Lords' plan to thwart the Government does not consist of the rejection of tho Army Annual Bill, but a-series of attacks made to discredit tho Government on the grounds 0 f corruption, including the Marconi investments, traffic in honours, and Sir Stuart Samuels case. A resolution concerning Lord Murray of _libr.uk will be followed to-dsy by Lord Selborne's motion condemning contributions to the party's funds as influencing tho bestowal cf honours. Mr Hal., Labour menibor for Normantou. askod in the House of Commons to-day whether the Premier would appoint a select committee to enquire into tho sources and expenditure cf psliticil funds and report what legislation was desirable to prevent corruption. Lord Charnwood mado a similar request in tho House of Lords in favour of a Royal Commission.
