There was a large attendance at the Rangiora sales yesterday, and much interest taken in the cattle sales, there being a record yarding for tho central yards. The stock entry was 1200 sheep, of which 300 were fats, 400 cattle, and 200 pigs. Prices were: —Fat wethers, 21s to 24s 6d, and 26s for an extra prime lot; four, six, and eicht-tooth ewes, 21s 6d to 255; failing-mouth ewes, 14s 6d to 15s 6d; wether hoggets, 16s to 17s 8d; hoggets, mixed sexes, two-thirds ewes, 18s 7d; six and eight-tooth ewes with lambs, 13s 4d all counted; four and sixtooth wethers, 20s to ,21s. Cattle: Fat heifers, £10 to £11 12s 6d; steers, £9 to £10; two-year-old forward steers, £5 10s to £7; 18-month to two-year-old heifers, £4 10s to £5 2s 6d; steers, £4 5s to ,£4 los; twelve to eighteen-month cattle, £3 10s to £4 ss; yearlings, £3 10s; calves. £2 10s; springers, £9 10s to £12; cows in profit, £6 10s to £9. Pigs: Bacbners, 70s to 90s; porkers, 45s to 555; stores, 35s to 40s; small pigs, 16s to 235. In the produce yards prices were :— Heavy sheepskins, 7s 9d; medium, os 4d; lighter, 3s; calfskins, to 4s 6d; hides, 6d lb; fat, wool, 7d; crutchings, 5Jd.
