Our London correspondent, writing on July 25th, says:—"There is a Rood enquiry for Maple peas, and business has been done in No. 1 quality New Zealand at 42s to 42s Ctl per 5041b, c.i.f. Tho best qualities on tho spot arc held for 4os per 5041b. In Australasian wheat for arrival there has been little enquiry for distant positions, but some business has been done on Continental account in arrived cargoes at 37s to 37s 3d per 1801b, c.i.f. The market for oats has fluctuated somewhat, but closes firm. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency quote New Zealand long-berried wheat" at 33s to 38s 6d per 4961b, and short-berried at 37s 6'd to 38s 6d; Spnrrowbill oats are 23s to 24s per 3201b, Maple peas No. 1 at 45s to 45s 6d, and No. 2at 40s to 41s per 5041b. The cocksfoot market has been very quiet, but at the close there was more enquiry. No New Zealand cocksfoot has been sold, prices asked being above the market here." There is little or no enquiry, and no sellers of grain from tho country. Barley—Nominal; prime malting 3s 6d to 4s, Cape barley 2s 3d. Oats—Nominal; Gartons A grade 2s to 2s Id, Duns Is lid to 2s, Danish Is 10d to 2s, Algerians Is 9d to 2s. Ryegrass— ls 6d to 2s 3d. Cocksfoot—3d to 3}d, f.0.b., the Bays. White to 9Jd. Cowgrass—Prime samples 7d, inferior 6d to 65 d. Flour—£9 per ton, 1001b bags £9 10s, 501b bags £9 15s, 251b bags £10. .Bran—£4 l»local, £4 10s f.0.b., per ton. Pollard—£6 per ton. Oatmeal—£l4 per ton. Oatsheaf Chaff —£3 for good samples.
