LADIES' HOCKEY.
The Ladies' Junior Competitions wore continued to-day in lino weather. The grounds were rather soft, but some good games resulted. A trial senior match was also plavcd on the Polo Ground. TRIAL GAME. The representative eleven met a picked senior team at the Polo Ground, and defeated them by 5 goals scored by Misses Kruso (2), M. Pea roe (2), and P. Pearce to 1 shot by Miss F. Low. Referee, Mr Mathews. SECOND GRADE. At Hornby, Red Rovers wero defeated by Digbv's by 2 goals, shot by Misses Miller ahd W r alker, to nil. To Kaha mot Waimairi at tho South Park, where the former won by 1 goal, shot by Miss Dalley, to nil, after a fast and exciting game. The meeting of Sydenham B and Kia Ora. at Sydenham Park, ended in a win for the latter by 5 goals to nil. Scorers: Misses Collins, Thorne, Rowd. Stock, aud Barnes 1 ? Referee, Mr It. Weir. At Woolston Park tho game between Ngaio and Sydenham A resulted in a wmi for Ngaio by 2 goals to nil. Misses Leighton and Martin were the scorers. Reforco, -Mr Wykes. " Tho match Technical College A v 1 Farmers, played at the Polo Ground, ■ ended in a win for the former by 1 goal, '■ shot by Miss Woods, to nil. Referee, Mr ' J. H. Hooper. On tho Wharenui ground at Lower :• Riccarton, St. Luke's wero defeated by t Wharenui by 2 goals, shot by Misses . Cross and Knight, to 1, shot by Miss c Nelson.
