(PRESS ASSOCIATION TEMJGItA*!.) WELLINGTON, August 30. Otago met W. I'ington to-day, but were unsuccessful in their efforts to lift the hockey shield. The game was full of bright incidents. Ocago's field work at times was brilliant, but tho visitors were inferior in tho circle. Tho first spell ended in favour of Wellington by three coils to ono - The borers were G. Stack, Robbie and Boyd (tor Wellington) and F. Drake for Otago. Tbo (second spell was very fast, the Wellington forwards playing in great 6tyle and were too much lor the visitors.'
