(rRHSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WANGANUI, August 30. In the representative hockey match played hero this afternoon, Cantcrburv beat Wanganui "by (5 goals to 2. Tho early .stages of the game were very even, indeed, and play was of a high order, but towards the end Canterbury exerted their undoubted superiority, and scored four goah in quick succession. The fielding and fino clean hitting of tho visitors"' was a noticeable feature of their play, while their combination was also better. Tho local men did their work principally by individual effort. Hulbert (3), Throp (2), and Quinton scored for the visitors, and Marshall and Brown for Wanganui.
