ABANDONED.

SUVA, May 5

The schooner Lyman D. Forster, from Puget Sound to Suva with a million feet of lumber, was caught in a hurricane at Turtle Island, in the Lav group, on the loth April. She was dismasted and lost her rudder, and all her boats were damaged. A third of the cargo was swept away.

Captain Hitman and the crew of ten built a raft and abandoned the ship on Thursday., and reached the Island of Kabara. Thence a cutter was taken to Levuka, which was reached on Sunday. The cargo was insured. A Lloyd's agent has been despatched to the wreck.
