THE KATOA'S EXPERIENCES.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, February 25. While the Katoa, bound from Westport to Auckland, was off Westport at 12.38 p.m. on Saturday she was lifted by a submarine disturbance and shaken from stem to stern. Tho sensation was as though the steamer had been raised from under and was scraping her way over a derelict. The shock lasted four seconds, and had no appreciable effect on the sea. Captain Norton is of the opinion that the centro of tho disturbance was out at sea.
