ATTEMPT ON HIS LIFE. WOUNDED BY A BOMB. AN ATTENDANT KILLED. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 24th, 12.15 a.m.) DELHI, December 23. An attempt was mado to assassinate Lord Hardinge to-day on making his state entry into the new capital. Lord Hardinge was wounded and an attendant killed. Tho Viceroy's elephaut in the procession left tho station, and was passing through Ghandechowk wheu a man on a housetop threw a powerful bomb, which struck tho Viceroy's howdah. Lord Hardingo was wounded about tho shoulders, and an attendant, who was holding an umbrella over him, was killed. Tho Viceroy was taken k> tho hospital.
Lady Hardingo was much shaken
