Lord Crewe, in a letter replying to Mr Bonar Law, says that tho manufacturers in the Dominions have tho power to protect themselves against the Motherland's manufacturers, whereas if the Indian manufacturers lack the power to secure their home markets, the Indian manufacturers will defend themselves, but if Mr Bor.ar Law begins to negotiate, he will find India eager for international freetrade, but sho will certainly stipulate for the same privileges as the selfgoverning colonies.
