.MR BEAUCHAWS APPOINTMENT.
(special to "tite press.") WELLINGTON, November 28. Mr Harold Beauchamp's api>ointment M Director of tho Bank of New Zealand, announced hero to-day, meets with favourable criticism. In certain quarters opinion is adverse, bnt in others it is generally admitted that with the Board of Directors as at present constituted, the Governments action is highly commendable. Some changes in the staff are likely to bo announced shortly. It is understood that Mr R. W. Kane, the manager of the Bank at "Wellington, has been promoted to tb.© Inspectorship.
