WARREN.
On Monday the dispersal salo in consequence of the, recent salo by the trustees, of tho Warren-estate of about 6000 acres near East Oxford, took place in torrents of rain. There was, howover, a large attendance, and for tho sheop most satisfactory prices were obtained. The Warren was taken up by Messrs G. W. and H. Leo in the early sixties and under the more recent management of the late Mr F. Cr<v.vo tho merino sheep attained to a high degree of- excellence, tho wool being shown and receiving honours in Taris and London, as > well as taking nighest prices at the English wool sales. Tho sale was conducted by tho North .Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association • and Messrs H.. Matson and Co. Tho highest price for two-tooth orossbreds was 'for, the four-tooths, 7C* 6d, and for the flock merino two and four-tooths 15s 3d. The following prices were realised:.—lß9 two-tooth Halfbred ewes ■ 18s sd, 108 fourluoth 19s 6d, 108 16s 7d. 269 six-tooth 19s, 375 -sound-mouth 14s lid. 128 halfbred ewe lambs 13s 2d, 101 wethers 83 7d, 310 forward halfbred lambs :14s Id, 155 two-tooth halfbred wethers 12s 2d. 187 merino lambs 9s Gd, 347 two and four-tooth merino ewes 15s 3d, 215' six-tooth merino owek 14s lOd,-2i-» sound-mouth merino'i owes lis 9d, 300 soundinc.uth 8s Hd, 239 two and four-tooth merino wethers 8s Id, 407 six and eight-tooth 7s Cd. The stud sheep sold, for 5G merino ewe lambs 16s 9d, 63 two-tooth -merino ewes 14s 9d, 27 four-tooth 21s. 53 six-tooth 20s 3d. 95 ecund-mouth 19s 10d, 22 merino-ram lambs 15? 9d; 22 merino rams 21s. In the horses tcld a -brocd rrmro and foal realised £33, othor draught* £27 to £30. Mitch cows sold from £7 10s to £7 15s.
