LONDON, May 26
In the Houso of Commons, Mr Runciman, Minister of Education, introduced a Bill abolishing half-time scholars, and enabling local authorities to compel the attendance at continuation classes of pupils up to sixteen years of age. If tho local authorities do not compel attendance, the normal age for leaving tbe elementary schools will be raised to fourteen years.
