A meeting of the New Zealand Trotting Association waa held yesterday. PresentMea«r» P. Soils (president), W. O, Garrard, 0. P. Mark, H. P. Niooll, J, _. Pollock, W. Haywaid, C. S. Howell, and A. L, Myers, An apology for absence was received from Mr R. O. Duncan. Tho question of entering into reciprocal relations with the South Australian Trotting Association was held over for further information. Tho disqualification by the New South Wales Trotting Club of O. Wilkins for two years, from September 3rd last, was endorsed, as was also the removal by that body of the disqualification imposed on P. Johneton.

An appeal waa received from Mr 11. It. Craig, owner of Lady Wilhelmina, against the decision of the stewards of the Otahuhu Tirottiß.<j Club in awarding the etako in the Trotting Handicap at the club's recent meeting to Mararoa. The stewards had held an enquiry into tho discrepancy in Mararoa's form, his time in the Trial Handicap, when lie ran second, being 2min-57sec, and in the. Trotting Handicap, which ho won, being equal to 2min 39seo to the mile. The on'jrinnl decision of tho stewnrds awnrded the stake to Marnroa, and on «in appeal being lodged, they held a further meeting, and recommended tho Aisociation to uphold tho appeal. After discussion, tho appeal was dismissed, and it was decided to draw the club's attention to Rule 269. The report by the Heddon Bush Hack Club of the disqualification of J. O'Shaughneeey for twelve months was referred back to the club for further evidence.

The action of tho Otahuhu Trotting Club in fining J. Nicholf-on, rider of Irish Molly, at its Tecent meeting, £10 for starting beforo his time, was endorsed. A complaint was made by Mr R. D. Petrie that Terra Novo, winner of the Mace Memorial Stakes at the New Brighton Trotting Club's Spring Meeting, had started beforo his time.

It was decided to forward a copy of tho letter to the New Brighton Trotting Club for any explanation it might have to offer. "Mr W. B. Mashani" wrote asking the Association to register a filly bought by him at auction a few months back, and it was decided to request him to produce a certificate under Rule 133. A similar reply was directed to be sent to Mr T. G. Fox.

An application for the removal of tho disqualification, of the horse Torrent was held over pending the receipt of information from the Karamea Club. An application from T. Coetello for tho registration of the horse Edelweiss (late Nelson) was granted, subject to the payment of a fine of £2 for nominating before registration. It was decided to agree to the removal of the disqualification of the horse Dandy for competing at an unregistered meeting, providing a satisfactory report waa received from the Takaka Racing Club. Programmes as passed by the Executive were approved. * Several additional programmes were passed. On the recommendation of the Foreign Horse Committee, certificates were issued for Minting, Kenny K. (lato Kenny), and Owhybra (late Alabama). Licenses as recommended by the Licensing Committee were granted. The Committee recommended that the license of E. MoKewen should be renewed for the rest of the. season with a caution, and that the application of Carl Nordquist bo held over. The report was adopted. The President reported thai 93 horses had been registered since the previous meeting. The next meeting of the Board was fixed for January 11th. In connection with the horses imported by J. Tumcth from Sydney, it was resolved, after discussion, to disqualify Tumeth for life for deliberate violation of Rule 185, dealing with the importation of foreign horses, and Rule 294, dealing with corrupt practices. It was decided to place A. F. Taylor on the Unpaid Forfeit Lilt for the amount of the stake won from the Southland Racing Club at ita Autumn Meeting, 1909, by the horse Conocrah.
