CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB.

At the monthly meeting of the. Canterbury Jockey Club held on Tuesday, the following programmes were approved:—South Canterbury Jockcv Club, Oxford Jockey Club, and Waimate Jockey Club. A gentleman rider s certificate was issued to Mr A. J. _oyle; trainers' licenses to P. Dunn, H. Forward, A. McLeod; jockeys' licenses to i. _. Mahoncv, A. McLeod, and 15. Farquhur, and an apprentice's license to C. Elwood. xhe question of foul riding at country meetings was discussed, and it was decided to send a circular drawing the attention of outside clubs to the prevalence of this growing habit.
