Sir Ernest Shackleton has just finished a lecturing tour in Germany. He'spoke in the German language. Speaking at Mannheim he wished Lieut. Filchner'a expedition success. He declared that the camaraderie of science knew no bounds. Lieutenant Filchner, replying, said if ho achieved anything ho would owe it to British explorers.
