RAILWAY DISASTER IN CANADA.
EXPRESS CHARGES A STATION. ■MANY CASUALTIES. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyrieht. (Received March 18th, 9.35 p.m.) OTTAWA, March 18. The Canadian Pacific Railway Company's express from Jio.ston, travelling at forty inilra an hour, dashed into tho Windsor street station, Montreal, ploughed over the platform, and crashed, into the Indies' waiting-room, bringing down a granite pillar supporting the superstructure. Five people ivero killed and twenty injured. All of theso people were waiting in the station. Tho passengers were unhurt. The accident -n-og d\io to a boiler , plug in the engine having blown out. Tho driver and fireman ivere thrown out, and there was no one aboard to stop the train. The damage dono amounts to 100,000 dollars.
