Thirty-six cars started in a 25 horsepower 4-in. cylinder motor-car contest of 338 miles in tho Isle of Man, to determine tho highest speed with unlimited consumption. Ten ambulances and many medical men aro on duty, and already several accidents have occurred. (Roc-ived September 25th, 10 p.m.) LONDON, -<r_*teinber 25. Mr Hutton's car, built by the Napier 'Company, and driven by W. Watson, won the contest, covering 339* miles in 6hrs 44mins 45secs. The second and third cars, Darracqs , took a few ininaites loroger. A number of cara were damaged, but thore were no serious accidents.
