LAND SALE.
Dalgety and Co. offered 4177 acre* of Balmoral Estate, North Canterbury, at auction on Saturday. There was a good attendance of buyers, and considerable interest was taken in the sale, owing to the fact that the land offered is situated just across tho Pahau river from Culverden Estate, which was balloted for last week. The following sales wore made:—Lots 1 and 2, 847 acres, to Mr John Ford, Waimate. at £6 per acre; lot 4. 365 acres, to Mt Robert Kingsbury, Bennetts, at £7 10s per acre; lot 7, 676 acres, to Mr Robert Forrester,, Hurunui, at £6 12s 6d per acre.
