GREAT EASTERN STEEPLECHASE— Tarpon, list 41b. 1; Tact, lOst 4ib, 2! Federal Court, llrt 61b, 3. Twelve started. Reindeer and "Visril were first awny. but the latter fell, and Tact joined Reindeer at the back. Tarpon and Tact went to the front, ar.d gradually increased iheir lead to twelve !-pngthf. After negotiating the. last fence they fought out a gToat finish, Tarpon winning by half a neck. Federal Court two lengths away third. Time, 6min. 47* *cc.
