By a disastrous firo at Taree, a block - of six shops and a largo hotel were destroyed. The damage ;is estimated at about £20,000, net a third of which is covered by insurance. THE WEATHER. Crick's ©as© was called at tho Criminal Court, but on the application ©f Crick's counsel the hearing was postponed to the first sitting of tho Court next year. Tlio bail (£500) was extended.
