THE BARQUE BOIELDIEU.
The balance of the Union St~m Sh ; p Company's claim, amounting to £593 15?, for the towing into Lytielton by their steamer Kittawa of the Frencn barr-ue Boieltlicu, vrtts settled on Saturday m'omiiig, and Uie bailiffs of the Admiralty Court were withdrawn from the baxquo at ono o'clock in tlhe afternoon. A start wae made on Saturday vnth the second discharge of the cargo of uVat from lihe barque Boieldieu, which was found to bo making water. Unloading operations, however, were interfered with by nun, and only a email quantity was discharged on Saturday. The vessel will be lightened, and kept on an even keel, by taking out about 400 or 500 tons of grain from the main hatch, which will lift the vensel bodily. It is lioped that by, thus lightening the chip, the place where the leak has occurred will be brought above the water-line, and thus allow of ite being got at without having to place the vessel in dock again. It is understood that the leak or "weep" is very slight, and that comparatively little water haa found its way in.
