NEW BRIGHTON.
The election of nine Councillors for the borough of New Brighton took place yesterday, the contest being a qudet one. The poll resulted as under: —C. Foster 102, W. Edwards 99. W H. Bellamy 98, J. R, Brunt 91, C. J. Clayton 90, J. Glaaulle 90, G. I). Mctarlane 86, H. E. Muegrave 83, B. Himlle 75, A. H. Wyatt 56. Several of the successful candidates returned thanks on the declaration of the poll.
