Majority for Mr Radcliffe 26 For members of the Borough Council the voting was "as follows:—S. B. Webb 587, R. Brown 560, J. Garrard 513, C. Kay 513, C. C. Smith 482, W. P. Foster 478, N. C. Schumacher 445, T. Norton 440, J. McLean 432, J. C. Rutherford 365, W. C. Cleary 304, C. E. Curtis 297, and P. C. Cleary 157. The first nine were declared elected. Seven hundred and cix voted' out of a roll number of 1029. The poll was not declared till 10.40 o'dock las* night.
