CORONATION HONOURS.
INVESTTTURES IN AUSTRALIA. AN IMPOSING CEREMONY. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received April 18th, 9.44 a.m.) . SYDNEY, April 18. Lord Tennyson, Governor-General of the Commonwealth, will invest the recipients of Coronation honours at Government House to-night. It will be a brilliant ceremony, the first of the kind in Sydney. (Received April 19th, 4.22 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 19. Tho investiture of the recipients of Coronation honours by the Governor-Gene-ral at Government House was an interesting and imposing function. Tlio brilliant gathering included the Governors of New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland, Admiral Fanshawe, Sir E. Barton, and several of tlio Federal Ministers and State Premiers. Eighteen were invested, amongst them, being the New South Wales Premier (Sir John See), Sir Alexander Peacock, and Sir E. Lewis, ex-Premiers of Victoria and Tasmania respectively, and Sir F. W. Holder, Speaker of the Federal House. The specified ceremonial was observed in full dotail. Sir Samuel Griffith read the commission to empower the investitures. Subsequently Lord Tennyson held a reception. Tlie warships were illuminated for the occasion, and presented a fine spectacle. Massed bands played in the Park.
