ENCOURAGING PROSPECTS. United Press Association—By Electric ! Telegraph—Copyright (Received April 18t)h, 9.44 a.m.) ADELAIDE, April 18. The Government geologist, in a further report on the Arltunga field, says:—"My favourable opinion of the prospects of the district generally have been confirmed by recent inspections. Some working and prospecting of old gold localities and the outside country is being done. A party discovered gold twelve miles westward of Mount Gordon. One large outcrop of quartz showed good prospects of gold on the reef.
