The Government geologist, in a further report on the Arltunga field, says:—"My favourable opinion of the prospects of the district generally have been confirmed by recent inspections. Some working and prospecting of old gold localities and the outside country is being done. A party discovered gold twelve miles westward of Mount Gordon. One large outcrop of quartz showed good prospects of gold on the reef.
