"F.C.G.' AND THE PREMIER.
Mr Seddon has attained the honour of being caricatured by Mr F. C___*u__ers Gould. In tbe '*We_tmu_-t_r Gazette,'* of April 11th, the New Zealand Prenxkrr appears as the terrifio genie evoked by the Arabian Nights fisherman, Mr C__a__berl_in, who, having opened the jar, labelled ■•Imperial Colonial Unity," he had just caUght in his net, is aghast to see a huge head, a capital portrait of Mr Seddon, emerge in a cloud of smoke and feathers, the owner ba_UK_____3g in an unseen hand a .onnidabk Maori club, and shouting, "Call yourself an Imperialist! Just look at mc S" These words are stated to be uttered by "The Apparition from New Zealand," and the picture is headed, "A Seddon Apparition."
