The second of the series of contests nowbeing held in the Choral Hall in connection with the Canterbury Band of Hope Union toot place last evening, before. a large audience. The vocal solos were well given, and the Tecitations indicated careful training on ths part of the instructors. The prize winners of Monday evening wer© ■ as follows:—Recitations, Class A—Elsie M.
