LYTTELTON REGATTA.
At a public meeting (held at Lyttelton last night, it wae dtcided to hold the annual regatta on New Year's Day. A General Committee was elected as follows : —The Rev. E. E. Chambers, Messrs T. C. Field,, G. A. Lewin, C. Ferrier, E. H. Pavitt, D. Jack, H. Smith, W. Hannay, D. and J. Page, A. W- Parsons, W. and P. Oleary, A: H. Glasgow, C. Brown, ±C. W. Grantham, J. T. Brice, C. Cook, W. \Ha,rkess } T. L. Smith, J. Ashley, J. S. Gill, E. U. Jiut, C. G. Curtis, A. Bhind, C. A. Rich, o. Sowden, G. Dimond, C. Kay, J. H. Collins, Captain Whitby, W. Taylor, A. W. Parsons, 0. W. Exall, and J. Plunkett. The Committee then met, and elected Mr W. Cleary as hon. secretary, and Messrs J. Page, J. T. Brice, and P. Cleary were elected collectors for Lyttelton, and Messrs C. Brown, F. Beverley, R. Richardson, T. L. Smith, and W. G. Sbepheard, with the •hon, treasurer, collectors for Christohuroh. Messrs Barry, W. Hannay. and T. C. Field were elected shipping collectors.
