(PRESS ASSOCIATTOW TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, February 4. Wind—Gale from between north-east and south-east from places northward of Thames and Manukau, extending southward to the East Cape,' Taupo, and Raglan after twelve hours; moderate to strong westerly winds thence south to Napier and Cape Egmont. Gale from between north-west and southwest elsewhere after. Barometer—Fall everywhere. Sea —Heavy on the East Coast north of the East Cape between Castlepoint and Kaikoura. and on the western coast south of New Plymouth; moderate elsewhere. Tides—High on the eastern coast north_ of the East Cape between Ca.tle.point and Kaikoura ; good from thence southward; high on the western coast south of New Plymouth; moderate everywhere else. Rain is probable in all parts of the country. Warning signals for easterly gales are exhibited at Capes Maria Van Diemen and Tiri Tiri, and for northerly gales at Cape's Campbell, Farewell Spit, and Foulwind.
