THE 9 a.m. WEATHER REPORT.
The telegraphic weathor report for 9 a.m. yesterday shows that at Auckland there was a slight west-south-west breeze, the barometer read 29.79, the thermometer 6", and there was gloomy, rainy weather. Wellington experienced a fresh north-north-west wind, with barometer at 29.67, thermometer at 63, and overcast sky. At Dunedin there was a southeast breeze, the barometer was 29.43, the thermometer 58, and there was blue sky, with passing clouds. The highest temperature was 73, at Gisborne, and the lowest 52, at Balclutha. As a rule, the weather throughout the colony was fine, with passing clouds.
