TENNIS.
The annual meeting of the Lancaster Park Lawn Tennis Club was held in the Clarendon Hotel, on 'Monday evening Mi , H. Murray iv the chair. The Treasurer's statement showed a credit balance of £5. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr A. E. G. Bhodw; vice-presidents, Dr. Nedwill, Messrs F. Wilding and H. Murray; hon. secretary, Mr William Goes; hon. "treasurer, Mr C. A. E. Ferguson ; committee, Messrs E. J. Ross, P. A. Laurie, J. R. Sinclair, L. BoiinimrUm, F. J. Murray, and C. T. Asehnian; auditor, Mr F. Gurney. The rules discussed, several alterations being made. It) was resolved that the entrance fees; should be reduced to—Men ss, and ladies 2s 6d. It was decided that the formal opening of the courts should take j>laco on Sibturday next, the 6th October. It was announced thsfe the Championship Meeting of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association would be held on the courts during Christmas week.
