UNITED CRICKET CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Lnited Canterbury Cricket Club was held on Saturday evening. There iras a good attendance, aid Mr T. D. Condell presided. The thirty-sixth annual report stated that during the' last season the club had been most successful, the first eleven, under the captain. Mr T. D. Hsnnan, winning tlr> Senior Championship F. S. tke Melbourne Club at Lancaster Park. The President, Mr R. J. S. Harman. had again offered a bat to anyone scoring a century in a cup match, aud the following had earned that distinction; —F. S. Frankisb. 132, T. D. Harman 105, A. Taylor 120, G. C. Aitken 100, S. Irwin (not out) 120. Mr John Studhoinie had offered a bat for the best aggregate 131 the Senior Cup team, and his was won by Mr W. C. H. \v"igl«y, who scored 388 runs in 11 completed innings. Mr C. R. dark had offered a bat for the highest aggregate in the Junior Cup, This was won by Mr A. Taylor, who scored 319 runs in J2 innings. Mr P«\rpoint had also offered a bat for the highest aggregate in the President's Cup competition. This was won by Mr S. Irwin. Mr C. Louisson won Mr Pearpoint's bat for the best bowling analysis. There were at present 91 members in the club. The balance-sheet showed that the receipts during the year had been £152 9s 4d. the expenditure £137 0s sd, leaving a credit balance of £15 8s 9d. The assets were £260 8s 9d, and the liabilities nil. The report and balancesheet were adopted. The" election of officers resulted as follows : —President, Mr R. J. S. Harman (re-elected); vice-president, Mr J. Studholme (re-elected); captain, MrT. D. Condell; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr J. O. Jameson ; assistant secretary, Mr M. Ormsbv; committee. Messrs T. D. Harman. C. R. Clark, W. C. H. Wigley, F. S. Frankish, J. Ha.ir, G. T. Weston. and J. H. Williams; delegates to Canterbury Cricket Association, Messrs W. C. H. Wigley. C. R. Clark, J. 0. Jameson, and J. H. Williams; delegates to the Hagley Park Ground Committee, Mr C. R. Clark; selector of senior teams, Mr W. C. H. Wigley; selector of junior teams, Mr A. Taylor.' The following were elected life members of the club: —'Messrs H. D. Buchanan, Little River; W. J. Cotterill, Timaru; and R. B. Mathias, Napier.
