THE TRANSPORT OF HORSES.
(miSS ASSOCIATION TKLBGEAM.) AUCKLAND, December 28. In answer to Mr George Fowlds, M.H.R., who enquired whether the Government would transport along with the Contingent the extra horses subscribed for by the public, the Premier states:—"The Waiwera will take only 250 horses, and all are required for the Contingent. There is a possibiUty of another steamer going later on." It is presumed Government would undertake to send horses by tbe later steamer which the Premier refers to.
