FIRE AT CUST.
Gardner's new flourmills at Cost were totally- destroyed by fire at three o'clock on Monday morning. The mill is valued at £1000, and the stock at £600. The insurance on the mill is £600 in the Standard, but there was no insurance on the stock. Mr R. Gardner is a considerable loser, he having J just completed putting in the newest ■ machinery for the roller mill as well as i stone. The mill is lighted with the electric 1 light, and does a large gristing trade, there being about 1000 bushels of wheat in the mill for that purpose when the fire occurred. No one stopped in the mill, which w=43 closed and left safe on Saturday night. The fire cannot be accounted for.
