Mr Rose further states that he has not yet received any official information as to the proposed increase of the capital, but supposes that the Directors iv London are meeting the views of their shareholders by doubling the present number ot £1 shares, issuing them, share for share, to the present shareholders at par. This operation will provide the capital necessary to pay for the works under construction, and leave a fund in hand for further requirements. At the adjourned extraordinary meeting of the shareholders of the Prince of Wales Gold Mining Company over 51,000 shares were represented. The object of tho meeting was to consider resolutions authorising Directors to purchase the Devon special claim for 60,750 shares in the Prince of Wales, and to increase the capital of tho latter Company by the issue of 70,000 shares. After discussion the motions were carried. The meetiusr terminated with a vote of thanks to the Chairman and Directors for the manner in which they had managed the affairs of the Company and the trouble they had gone.to in endeavouring to effect an amicable arrangement with shareholders who h*d purchased bogus shares. WELLINGTON, September 16. All the capital, £5000, required to work the gold lease at K-irori has been subscribed, the shares, except four, all being held in Hawke's Bay. Tho promoters are quite satisfied with their prospects, and have purchased additional ground.
